We received a call 10 days ago (this, written on 10th November, just before the annual Service of Remembrance) from a longstanding customer in Richmond Terrace, Whitehall, worried about the impact of the large Plane trees on the broadcaster’s equipment.

We know that trees can and often do block the signals from home satellite dishes, and we’re called out a few times a year to complete pruning work which will enable the customers who need us to watch their favourite telly programmes uninterrupted.

This was a bit higher profile, though!  Without some careful pruning, the vital service of remembrance might have been affected, so Andrew co-ordinated a meeting with our client, communications officers at the major broadcasters and the very helpful Tree Officer at Westminster City Council who was able to make the necessary decisions for minimal pruning work to be done on these lovely old trees.  Normal service resumed!
