It’s common practice now to consider a MEWP wherever we can when we’re working at height.

These machines come in a range of sizes and specifications which take account of the height of the tree, the range of movement required to get around the crown and the stability and levels of the ground surface beneath.

Though it’s not possible to use on them on every job – access is the main reason why we do still need to use rope and harness – they certainly make the job safer for the tree surgeons and therefore also more efficient.

All of our arborists are qualified to operate MEWPs safely, and we’re planning a day of new skills and refresher training for our skilled Groundsmen and newer team members on the first day back in the New Year.

Learning as a team, on and off-the-job – it’s a great way to start 2022.
