Primary Tree Surgeons – After the Storm!
Well, the storm at the end of October certainly threw the planned work schedule out of the window!Thanks to the handful of very understanding customers who had to wait a day or two longer for us to arrive – your patience was much appreciated!
Like many of our colleagues, we were inundated with calls for help with trees going over all over the county and beyond. Our team were fantastic and responded promptly to the (managed) chaos in a bid to help as many people as possible. We all understood in a very small way what it might be like to member of the emergency services!
Three weeks on and we’re still clearing up after the initial trauma of the storm, where trees whose roots were badly disturbed then have since fallen.
Here are few practical tips to help assess whether you need to do anything about your trees post-storm:• Are your trees still vertical? If they were leaning before, are they still at the same angle?
• Are there any broken branches or stems in the canopy which might fall and injure someone or something?
• Are there any broken roots above ground or any new cracks or gaps in the ground around the tree?Any of those might be signs it’s time to call an arborist for a second opinion, and avoid the drama of an emergency tree fall.
